I decided to make a thread on this to help people that are contiplating on buying the 3in drop leafs and rear swaybar from belltech.
So im just gonna jump right into it here. Getting the old leafs off the truck was not really as hard as everyone makes it out to be so dont be scared, just have a big hammer! Once you get off all the old leaf stuff I put on the front eyelet first just to make it easy(the leafs are marked) but as i lifted the leaf into position with the shackle it basicly maxed out the shackle to the point where you only have like an 1in of travel plus the squeeze of the bushings. I have a welder so i moved the rear shackle hanger 7/8in rearward to give me some more travel. Just a note though: if you move your shackle 7/8 of an inch rearward that dosent equal 7/8in more travel its more like an 1 1/2 inches more travel because of the way the shackle swings. But i got that all bolted up with 2in blocks and shaved my bumps till i could fit a finger in between the wheel well and my tire when the travel was fully maxed out. The leafs are pretty strait forward. GREASE EVERY POINT THAT MOVES WITH LOTS OF GREASE! Or you're gonna get sqeaks like me haha.
The swaybar was easy also but i had to cut my exaust to get the thing in there but that was fine because my exhaust hit the swaybar with how low i am now. Make sure to grease those bushings well also or skweeky skweeky!
Why i really made this thread though was kindof a review of the parts for anyone who wants to know more about them.
The leafs have an unbelievably high spring rate even with brand new shocks to hold them down. At first it was like a bucking bronco but after about 2 months they have broken in a bit and mellowed out(not as much as i would like though).
The swaybar is nice at any speed lower than about 30-35mph after that it seems like the truck is just too much weight for the 3/4in bar. Im really thinking about getting the 1in and selling the 3/4 for like $100(there about $180).
As much as it seems like im not happy with the setup its wayyyy better than 3in block with a leaf removed out of the stock pack! Im very pleased with it i was just letting everyone know about the weaknesses haha.
Here are some pics

Your truck looks good bro, working on getting mines to that point. Did you have to get shorter shocks with the lowering leafs?

Yes just the weight of the truck will bottom out the stock ones. I have a part number for the monroe shocks i got but ill have to put it up here at a later time im not home

Hope you cleaned the grease off the rubber parts, they over a period of time, dislike oil products on them for ever.

Nope i just left it. I did not know about that until now. Like i said im probly gonna go witht the 1in swaybar so ill wipe them down when i swap the bar out

It looks as though the sway bar end brackets may bend (not beefy enough, if nothing else across the flat place, where the vertical load transmits to the frame) under the load of a stiff, fast curve. Remember, when one side is swaying, the other side is fighting the sway, and being pulled down, against the happy place the leaf spring on the side it is on likes, which is where the squat come in.
All else seems good.

I think you mean the last picture of the underside of the truck how as it gets to the end it looks bent? It came like that. And its kinda pointing at the ground cause its lowered so much. Im not sure if pointing at the ground effect the preformance of the swaybar too much but it definitely corners alot better/different now.
I cannot for the life of me find the monroe shock part number sooooo i guess all yall are gonna have to do some research....
