i have an bagged 89 b2600i single cab.....i have gone thru 3 driveshafts in 9 months. its a 2 peice n the bearings keep going or the rubber connecter comes apart..its making 1 hell of a racket but i cant bring myself to stop driving it........ if anyone could help i would greatly appreciate it ty

go with a single piece drive shaft i did one for a friend 8 years ago and its working mint. I even have one here sitting ready to go

i had a two piece and had no prob,sounds like you are way out and need to fix the pinon or pull your axle back just a little you are puting to much pressure on the center jount

Did you shorten the rear drive axle i took off 2 inches on dales so it did not get all bound up

i havent tried any of that.. is 2 inches the norm or should i start with it and continue cutting till it gets quiet?? also how do i adjust my pinion??? 3rd r these things i can do myself?? thanks guys

Start at 1 inch and go from there and pinion angle should be able to adjust by playing with the adjustment on your 4 link bars.

Don't just cut it off with a random length. Measure from the carrier barrier mounting point and your axle mounting point, and give this to your driveshaft guy. I would recommend measuring it at several different points of travel and splitting the difference.

I still think the driveshafts need a slip joint, but that is probably overkill.

And I would definitely check to make sure your pinion angle is set correctly.

How long are your link bars? Are you running a 2, 3 or 4 link?

ya i put a slip in mine later on and it worked out great took a lot of pressure off it that i didnt know i still had
