First welcome to the site, for tech questions you will be a better response if you create a new thread for each question because people may not click on it because of the title.

You basically have a Ranger so I can help you out.

1. Brake Pedal - Check all of the cables from the front to the rear axle. The cable has multiple joints that can come loose. It's the cable that runs along the drive side frame rail to the rear. I would post a new thread for this. Take pictures if you can of the cables. If the cables don't seem loose then the next thing I would check is the rear drum. It may be missing the emergency brake part, or not be installed correctly.

2. Temp Guage - I would start a new thread for this too, but first thing I would check is your fuses, and are any other gauges not working? When you say it's not working what do you mean? Does it not move at all?

yes. the gauge on the dash is dead and i am gettting a PO 125 code on the check at auto parts store which means coolant temp sensor. It seems really hard to get to though.
