Hey guys

Just picked up 1991 B2200 fuel injected auto extended cab. I bought this truck as a handy little truck but am wondering how stout they are???

Kinda as far as suspension...

Auto trans...

Rear Diff....

The most work this truck will see is being used for mountain biking..... basically it will be hauling up to 4 downhill mountain bike, and 4 adult males up gravel mountain fire roads for downhill mountain biking.

Anything i should be careful of or keep an eye on??

it'll be slow... and watch you temp gauge... and really cramped inside, unless you are all of 100 lbs each. shouldnt be too bad, really depends on the upkeep of your truck too, keep it tuned and keep up your fluids. i did a couple dump runs when i first got my b2200 fi ext. cab, and they were a couple heavy loads, plaster, 2x4's, house scraps. it was slow, but she did it no prob.

get under the truck and check out the frame etc... too, they are famous to rust out out back near the rearend and spring shackles

the auto tranny, i'm not sure about, depending on the grade you re climbing, and how heavy your load is, you may want to look into further tranny cooling...

BJ glad to see you coming around again, not to steal the thread but is the auto login working for you now? I remember before it was giving you issues.

yeah i know she is a little cramped inside, but odly enough more room then a friends 2010 frontier king cab, the drives up to the mountain summits are usually only about 15-20 minutes so it does not have to be super comfy..

Truck seemed to have been taken care of pretty good, tunee up done, all new fluids and I got a nice big tranny cooler to put in..

Thanks for the input, any one else care to share?

AT trucks already have a small tranny cooler built in.If ur going to do a lot of towing,a bigger one might be helpful. Also, the shift points are minimally adjustable by using the small adjustment screw on the vacuum modulator valve on the side of the tranny.I adjusted mine up some cause it was going in to third too soon.electric fan is also a great upgrade cause it takes a load off that little 85 hp engine.bjbj

Yeah I was thinking of an electric fan, and bigger exhaust.

Any one do these to there B2200 with good results???
