cruise control

Hello people. I have a question I hope someone can help me with. I have a 1988 B truck and it has factory cruise. When I hit the cruise button nothing happens. I dont think it is getting power. Where is the fuse for the cruise control? I looked in the fuse box but none are marked cruise and none of the ones there are blown. Any info would be appreciated.

There is a button/rocker switch on the dash that turns the cc on and off. The other button on the stalk will set the cruise and allow you to accel or decel. I think you need to be going over 30mph to test it. Make sure the rocker switch is on get your speed steady and press and hold the set switch for like five seconds and see. The button on my dash switch was burnt out so I took it apart and replaced the bulb. I will see if there is a fuse in the AM.

I tried this and nothing worked. Its like there is no power going to the cruise.

Is there a light on the switch on the dash? I have cruise as well, and nothing happens when it is turned on. Maybe try looking for a fuse in not-so-known places....

No the light is not working. I have looked for a fuse but my search came up empty.

Did you ever have any luck sorting out your cruise control system. My instructions weren't complete and I'm trying to locate the exact place to plug in a single Black wire (with Yellow Stripe) into the underside of the one of the relay boxes. If happen to know where this one plugs into, I'd be grateful. This is a single wire (B/Y) that comes from the cruise harness... but it's NOT the one with the ring terminal that is grounded to the frame.

Two fuse boxes on the 2000/2200. One under the hood and one under the left kick panel.Checked them both?bj

Or 87 has the same problem. I've not located any fuses in either the in dash, or under hood fuse panels. I think maybe the on/off switch in dash under the power outlet/cig lighter might be out but haven't been to bothered by not being able to use cc... If anyone has ideas I'll look into it for my truck...

Is anyone out there running a weber with the cruise controll still functioning?

Yeah,me. I have a B2200 with cruise and a Weber.Works fine.I also have the schematic for how to install cruise on a Maz truck if anyone needs a copy(if I can find it--Lol).I also have a spare complete cruise if anyone is planning to install one.bj
