push button ignition

i will be installing a push button ignition and a master kill switch...eliminating the key switch altogether. the problem im facing is finding a reliable wiring diagram for the key switch. does anyone know where i can get a reliable diagram at? thanks

not sure, but i did that..and its really ez to do..i had 2 rockers and a push start,that way i could still turn the radio on with out starting the truck...i did mine like this.....ign-1 and ign-2 i put together,acc. and shit i added i put together,and the starter wire i run to the push after i run it throught the ign rocker...had to have the ign rocker on to start the truck, make sure you find heavy duty switches so they dont melt down

or run switches that operate relays... that would probably be better than just heavy duty switches... i have push button start/ignition wired up to factory ignition wiring so its plug and play for any mazda truck...

if your looking at the back of the plastic ignition socket that screws to the keyed part of the ignition the wires are labeled on the plastic ignition switch... labeled as ign1, ign2, acc, bat, str... ign1 is the main engine ignition, ign2 powers wipers, heater fan, and probably a few other things, acc is anything that gets turned on with the first key on position... str is your starter wire...

a rocker.....a rocker switch,most style switchs that do not have a post handle..a rocker switch is just the style i used..

and leland ya i used the stock ign wires too..unpluged the ign and took an old one and wired the switchs in that way..that way i could still put the key ign back later if i needed to
