So I'm gathering all the necessary parts to convert my carbed b2200 to EFI. I have access to an ext. cab 1993 B2200i so I'm gonna grab anything I can use off it, and find a reg. cab gas tank with a pump in it (Im pretty sure the ext and reg cab tanks are different)
Now, the swapping over the EFI intake and all that shouldnt be too bad but I'm a little lost with the wiring.
I know the EFI trucks have an ENTIRELY different wiring harness from the carbed truck, and im not too down with tearing every wire out of my truck lol... I remember reading somewhere that a mazda 626 wiring harness was used, It does not require a massive complete wire harness change- only one harness needs to be replaced.
Does anyone have any more information on this, im sure someone else has done this swap before

hey i did this to my truck also...it was carbed...what i did was i took all the wiring from an fi b2200...marked were each plug went...not sure if u after efi or fi....the b2200 arent efi just fi from what info i have gathered about them...its simple...no two plugs are the same..but its safe to always mark them incase they are...its very simple took me a few hours to complete it...i went this route cuz i hate tuning a carbed motor...fi is plug and play and the computer does it all...simple and clean...

So you did the whole pull-the-dash and change all the wiring job? I would have thought it was harder than that.
What did you do for a fuel pump? did you swap out the whole tank, or do you think I could just as easily add an in-line pump near the tank?

ok so i took EVERY wire from the engine bay and under the dash out...they are two main wiring harnessess...one on each side...under the dash they shold be a third harness...they all join together...as far as the pump i used a b2600 fuel pump...the b2200 fi has a fuel regulator it will slow the fuel so the engine can comsume it.....i have a fuel cell so i dont have to change fuel tanks...cant help u on that one..u can probably run a inline...the fi use 28-31 psi...so dont use a crazy ass 100 psi pump...if ur truck is auto it should have a intank pump then u can buy a b2600 intank pump ebay...if its manual then u could use a inline....the manual truck gas tanks dont have an in tank pump...hope this makes sense to u...
