I questioned doing this one time my self. Not sure about how it operates...vacuum or not, but I know you'll need the tranny cooler and pedal assembly. You probably already knew that lol.

its not a hard swap but you gotta change out the pedal assembly, shifter hump on the floor (its a 2.6 hump for all the autos) ,the rear tranny mount is completely different as well.. it is vacuum operated but the port is already on the intake.. to do it right you need the computer and full rear harness as wel as the tank..the auto 2200's have the fuel pump in tank and a check valve in the fuel line to the carb

I have the complete setup with a rebuilt tranny, new torque convertor, shifter, and flywheel. I guess the tranny might have about 50 miles since it was rebuilt.

Oh, and you DON'T have to have the computer, unless its EFI.

I'll sell it all for what the rebuild kit cost, $370 plus shipping.

There is enough differences between the stick and auto engine management that it would be wise to change it all properly instead of trying to figure out why its not 100% after you do the swap.. you could run different things to combat the differences but in the end it makes more sense to do it right than just rig it to work...just remember everybody... Bscene is kinda like wikipedia.. we all have imput and no one is wrong, just different points of view... I've stripped atleast 40-50 of these trucks to the bone and rebuilt atleast 30.. I have an extensive knowledge of these particular trucks... and most of the swaps from truck to truck I've done...
