I need to know what size foam to get for the heater core housing (going to the vents and the flap doors), I've got it all torn apart and would like to get it together real quick. Also what do they call that foam strip stuff at Home depot? Thanks.

Here's a site that has different sizes.
Hope it's what you're looking for...

Weatherstripping Tape (Various Sizes) - CHE10XX

Weatherstripping Tape (Various Sizes) - Weather stripping remains flexible as low as -40F degrees! Does not absorb moisture.

Here's what I used NewbieT......

For the 2 brackets that seal the heater core housing to the evaporator housing, and the wrap around bracket that seals the fan housing to the evaporator housing.

On the top of the blower housing where it seals against the underside of the cowl, I used this foam tape......

It's an "Open Cell" foam weatherstripping tape and it will come in different widths (up to 3/4" I believe) as well as different thicknesses. I used this on the flap door inside the heater core housing also, and around some of my plastic vent louvers as the factory had......but the factory stuff was shot. If there was any still there in place, when you touched it the stuff would crumble.

I was hoping you would answer this one axel . Yea the stuff I used was a little to thick so it made opening and closing a little difficult but I cut it down a little and good to go. Is that 3/4 the size that goes around the HVAC vents on the sides?
