I'm thinking of going to 15" wheels on my 1989 B2200 2 wheel drive regular cab. All of the 15" wheels I come across seem to be for a 4x4... will they fit without any modification?

Also, if I go with 15" (maybe 16") wheels from another manufacturer that are also 6 bolt, I hear sometimes you have to drill out the center so that it fits over the Mazda hub - or cut off the tabs. Is this with any wheel, Mazda or not? Or just from other brands of trucks? And can this be done with steel wheels or just aluminum?

Thanks!

there are so many Threads on here about wheels. yes those wheels will fit, so will most 6 lug chevy rims you just need to grind the tabs. Also, you really should search on the forum before posting any more posts similar to this one. I will probably be the only one responding too because most people won't waste their time. I don't really blame them either, why waste our time when you aren't using yours to search for your answers. Im not trying to be a dick but you will get plenty of rude responses if you keep posting like this. GOod luck and welcome

Nissan truck wheels have the same bolt pattern.

Thanks, I discovered that too. There are some nice rims out there from Nissan Pathfinders I'd like (chrome if possible). I'm not sure if the Mazda center caps will fit, but maybe the answer is somewhere in this forum. There are also some nice Toyota and GM rims I like, but I want to stick with 15" so I can still have a tall tire to absorb more impact. If I go too big on the rim size, I'll have to run low profile performance tires and I'd prefer to go with some meaty all terrain tires.

The good part about going for 15" wheels and tires is that there are still enough of them around and they're cheaper since most people want the bigger ones. Works for me!

Kind of late for this thread. I use to run American Racing "Gamblers" 15X7 4X4 rims on my Cab Plus at stock height. I originally used BF Goodrich 225X60 series tires. That was back in 1989-2000.

The new trucks have different 6 hole bolt patterns. Recently Nissan and Dodge Dakota 6 hole bolt match. 6 hole bolt pattern Toyotas, Chevys, and Mazda B series still match last time I checked.

That's great, thanks! I bought a few sets of used rims, all 15" 1990s Nissan Pathfinder rims. One is a slotted design with a chrome finish, the other is a 6 spoke aluminum. Since they're for a Pathfinder, those rims are intended for a 4x4. I haven't actually tried bolting one up yet, but I've heard from a couple of people that they should fit.

I stayed away from the the Dodge Dakota rims as I wasn't totally sure if the bolt pattern spacing was the same. In any case, it seems that there was a lot of 15" Nissan rims available, so that's what I ended up with. I didn't want to go any bigger because I want to use a tall, high profile meaty tire for my PreRunner look. If I went too big on the rim diameter, I would have needed to use low profile tires.

As for tire size, I have a set of 235/75R15 that I want want to use, but it looks like I need to do the lift first or they won't fit. The width might be OK, but those tires are too tall for a stock 2WD height.
