So when I set my Weber's high idle up it woks great if I manually hold the butterflies closed and cycling the throttle likkage. I adjusted it and it works great.... stab the throttle and it drops as it should... but after the initial set up I notice if I Rev past 3k driving the high idle sets again? I stab it and it drops... it does it a few times then returns to normal. But now after parked over night or while parked at work it wont set with the throttle peddal??

I'm assuming it was working at one time?
Is the carb an electric choke unit?
If so, is the choke wire connected to the alt. as it should be?
If all is good above, then I would look good at the linkage on the carb itself to see if something became disconnected on it.

You did use a stronger throttle return spring than the @#$%&*%##%&*%$ wimpy one included in the kit, right ?

Yeah I have stiffer spring....yes elec choke.. but its hooked over to the coil.... I thought alt was the wrong way?

The choke itself works... as in closed cold open hot. But before even when the high idle screw wasn't set id get that clink sound when pressing throttle to set choke/high idol... now I don't.... buut like I said if I pop the air cleaner off and cycle the throttle by hand and hold butterfly closed then it sets and works as should

Yeah, it should be connected to the back of the alt. in a plug-in by itself.......check this thread out........It has a pic of where it plugs into the stock alt.
