AutoTrans Wiring (figured it out)

working on putting together an 89 automatic b2200 for a friend of mines dad, neither of us have evver owned or worked on an automatic b series before this one, have worked on plenty of manual b series, question is where do the plugs on the trans go to. theres three connectors, as of right now i dont see any wires hanging under the truck to plug to or any inside the cab, inside cab is stripped down, no interrior parts, dash is out a well. any pics or advise would be greatly appriciated. thanks in advance

looking at the haynes manual there's three I can see... listed as neutral safety switch, kick-down solenoid, overdrive cancel...and looks like the plugs hover around the back of the engine, could be on the firewall. Is there anything under the transmission shifter?

The plugs shoud be at the top of the trans by the motor. If i didnt have all the wiring out of my truck i could take a pic for you.

hey u need a wiring harness from an automatic..the engine bay one into the cab and maybe the gauge cluster also due to the lights for the overdrive canclle switch to light up in the cluster....and the passanger side also since it has the wring for the nuteral saftey switch and 2nd one...i ripped the whole harness from an auto...best place junk yard...im assuming the truck was standard b4...if so u need the harness... they are many other things u HAVE to do to for this...u Will need the automatic tranny cross member and drive shaft also...the auto shaft is longer then standard drive shaft...the tranny crossmember is also in a different place so u will need an crossmember from an automatic...mine was standard then i converted it to auto...found out the hardway...also the shifter wholes are different also in the cab....stanadrd whole for the shifter are around and placed eihter forward or rear from the automatice shifter whole...so some fabing is required there...this is what i had to do to convert it....its more of a pain in the ass

u see the white plug behind the red one...netrual saftey switch...u also need a vaccum hose the tranny and kickdown switch under the gas pedal...mine is alo fuel injected so i need more not sure if urs is carbed or fuel injected



the vaccum line is kinda hard to see but it fellows parallel to the grey steal line then curves down by the steel loop...hope u can see that

oh sorry one more thing u need a tranny cooler....the automatic trucks have rads with built in tranny coolers...

OK......THIS IS A 1991 B2600i 2WD TRUCK!! So the trans is probably different than the B2200 trans.......but here goes!

thanks for all the help, i will have to look over all the pics with my friend when we decide to work on the truck again. a lil more info about the truck it was always an automatic truck, his dad bought the truck several years ago with a brand new remaned engine strapped to a pallet in the bed of the truck, they had the trans completely overhauled/rebuilt. he wanted to switch out the blue interior to the maroon interior, so the cab right now is stripped down to drivers seat and steering column, we've been told that this was never a factory option, a b2200 automatic with maroon interior (if anyone can comfirm that, would be cool to know), just recently we married the motor and trans in the truck and got it bolted in place, we are more concerned at this point in getting it running then anything else, seeing its been like 4 years since he bought the truck.

oh and it will be running a 32/36 dgev weber

We are still needing more info and pics of the wiring and where they come from.
