help grant steering wheel install issues

so got a 88 b2200 got a grant steering wheel that came when i bought the truck bought the grant 3597 install kit and found it to fit splines of steering column properly but when you bolt wheel down and turn the wheel the whole turn signal switch is moving at the same time . i'm not sure if i need another kit thats got a smaller center hub or what any help would be appreciated!! thanks

Is the turn signal switch (the combination switch bolted down tight? There's a hex head screw/clamp on its underside. But first press on its release lever (on the top) and push towards the front of the truck, maybe it's not all the way seated.

Or loosen that screw/clamp then push forward, then retighten.

ok i will give that a try and see what happens guy before me was an idiot and had whole truck ripped apart so it wouldn't surprise me having to piece it together now knowing how it came apart
