I just dropped my truck and x-member is sitting on the driveshaft, I was told that I can put a two piece drive shaft and this would solve my problem. so my question is, is there another Mazda that I can take it from that would bolt right in? its a 91 b2200 single cab. Thankyou

Do you have an automatic or a manual?

My 88' regular cab had a 2-piece and it was a 5-speed transmission.

I cannot figure out the drive shafts yet, seems to be no rhyme or reason with what mazda put on these trucks. Will we ever figure it out? Both my 86 b2000s had a one piece. my 88,89,90 b2200s had 2 piece. All 5 speed. They should swap right over but you will need to add the mounting studs for the center bearing I believe.

My 86 5-speed reg cab has a 2 piece but figured because its a long bed.
If ya can maybe measure up your drive shaft and take measurements out to the junk yard and see what ya can find on another mazda

Our 87, 2.0, reg cab, short bed, lx-5, 5 speed, has a single piece, but my 89 2.2 se-5 reg cab short bed has a 2 piece. Might have something to do with changing from 87 to 88. We know mazda stopped putting stamped gates on the truck with the 87 model year being the last to get stamped gates...
