I think it is between 2-3. It gets filled untill it runs out the fill plug on the side of the tranny.

It is 2 quarts and you should fill it with about a quart and half and add in small increments. You want to either fill the fluid with small finger inside the fill hole or have a slight drip coming over(not a river).Overfilling is not suggested as with engine oil capacities.Pretty easy and I use a long funnel with a extended tube to fill from top side at the firewall. Then double check after filling to 1.5 quarts then top up to the 2qt point small drip or feel fluid inside fill point.Just drive your truck some to heat up fluid for a good drain out, then refill.Btw the rear end runs the same gear oil and hold about a quart in a half on memory.I run 75w90 myself.

Most use 80/90 unless they live in a real cold climate.

I pump in from underneath, there are pumps that screw into the gear oil bottles.

HINT: always loosen the fill plug before draining !!! I think you'll know why. Also: a 23mm socket (Lowe's, O'Reillys) is the right size for some of these.

Warm up the gear oil in the house or sun, so it will be less viscous and pump easier.

Change the rear axle gear oil at the same time, you've got all the stuff there.
