I am in the process of replacing all my wheel bearings and have a question. I understand the packing of the bearing itself, but is the entire cavity where the bearing sits to have grease packed in it ?

I would pack as much grease in there as humanly possible. If you don't have a packer tool (I don't), you may find some plastic sandwich bags very helpful.

Others will chime in.

And remember that the bearing races are important, so use the new ones supplied after taking your old ones off.

Copy that on previous post. Pack that b**** hella full. The sandwich bag trick works great. Fill bag, stick bearing in and squeeeeesh away.

I did buy the Napa bearing packer, haven't used it yet but will soon. Thank you both for that info

That bearing packer from napa works awesome. It is less messy and fills the bearing in one step.Best investment I made when I did mine couple yrs ago.
