hello, i have been looking through threads and such about replacing my sliding panel to a one panel window, and people are saying to use twine and put it in before the window then slowly guide it out.

i was jus wondering, would taping the seal/gasket up be ok? maybe with like masking tape or something not very sticky, but enough to keep it from getting between the window and frame.

jus a thought.

Use cord stronger than twine. Use glycerine, dish liquid, KY as lube. Watch some Youtube videos.

so i take it thats a no go on the tape. lol

what kind of cord?

and dish liquid, like soap?

ive looked on youtube but i havent seen any. ive seen window removal, but the guy shattered his i think so he was jus getting the rest of the glass off. and there was a flush installment, but thats not helping.
