I'm mid way through phase one of my engine bay wire tuck, but the sensor broke in three pieces when trying to remove the wires. Will there be any issues running without it hooked up? I did a search and it seems to be a common consensus that it's for the heater, which I am not at all worried about. Just want to verify for my sanity.

Are you running the stock carb? If not you don't need it

Yes, stock carb, but none of the electronics. The ECU is removed, and so is all the wiring from it.

That sensor is for the PTC heater under the carb - the black plate connected to the red wire. It's to ensure the carb doesn't ice up in colder climates. You probably don't need it in NC.

Awesome. Thanks Dan!
