Hello, I recently wanted to unlower my b2200 but I found a 91 on the internet for 100 with a blown motor. I want to put the motor from my lowered B2200 in the stock B22 how do I do this?

I might miss a few small things but here it goes, just unbolt the bellhousing from the back of the motor, drain coolant, remove rad hoses and heater core hoses, mark ALL of your vacuum lines to all your sensors if u don't have a weber, cause those are a bitch to figure out. and mark wire harnesses, then remove all wire harnesses/vacuum lines from carb, assuming they are both 2200s, u can probly use the other ecu so u don't gotta swap wire harnesses, then unbolt the motor mounts, one on each side, and lift it on out with an engine hoist or tractor or what ever u can lift it out with.

The problem is mine is an automatic and the other truck is a manual, so how do I swap the trannys and what modifications will I need to make?

the easiest way would be to keep the 5 speed tranni in the new truck, pull the bad motor, and just replace the torque converter from the good motor with a clutch. other wise to go from 5 speed to auto you gotta swap both motor and transmissions, and you gotta pull the clutch master cylinder and remaining hydrolics, im not sure about the brake master or not. I know autos have a wide pedal but idk if the master itself is any different. you would also have to check and see if you can use the 5speed ecu (engine control unit) and wire harness for auto cause im not sure on that either. might be a shift sensor or something different between the 5 speed ecu and auto ecu. might not be tho but id look into it.

i dont think the ecu will matter...those(as i undersatnd it) are just for the elctronics on the carb

The wire harness is the same for auto and 5 speed, ECU might be different but that is easy to change out. Depending on what setup you run you will have to switch the lower transmission mounts to the newer engine. Wanna keep the auto? Swap the mounts from your engine to the donor engine, run the 5 speed? simply reverse the process. These trucks are really universal when it comes to switching from auto to 5 speed or the other way around. To really get an idea on the transmission swap there are several posts on here detailing how to do that. I have switched from 5 speed to auto and back again in my truck, to me the auto is pretty gutless but I might have had a weak transmission.
