Does anyone know what this means? I presumed it was the water pump leaking, but upon further investigation I noticed the water was leaking from the fans pulley?

New development the water is definitely leaking at the pulley, and the radiator fan isn't working correctly it's wobbling a lot.

Hey man, I dont know if you ever figured out your issue but that sounds like the seal has broken on your water pump or the water pump has went bad. Are you experiencing any over heating? If your fan is wobbling I would tighten all the bolts around the fan but if your already going to be in there with a wrech and your leaking, just replace that bastard. Be sure to put some grease around the seal to maintain an even better seal.

If your fan/pulley is wobbling, the crank pulley keyway is shot, and u r leaking coolant from around the water pump and maybe even the front crank bearing is leaking itself.Common problem .If u have a good mechanic, the keyway can be repaired (in the block) and a slightly larger key can be fitted. If not, new crank time. My 2200 has been running a repaired keyway for 6-7 years with no issues. I also replaced the stock fan with a 14 inch electric one.Less load on the keyway and crank bearing. bj

Sorry guys for not posting.
I replaced the water pump, I learned a bit more about it all during the experience also!
The key think I learned your hoses when you change your pump my old pump was the original (83) and I guess didn't put out as much pressure as the new one so I keep blowing hoses for the next few days. A ton of money in radiator fluid Hahaha.

Water pumps today are really water "circulators." The last true pump that was used on a regular automobile engine was likely before your grandfather was born.
The pressure that builds in the cooling system is from heat. The reason your hoses needed replacing was they were aged... and disturbing them while changing the pump caused them to show it.

Thanks for the info man!
I just presumed based off the name!
Everything is working fine now. Waterwise anyways haha!
