Could I bother someone to obtain the approximate tail housing length on the B2200 5-speed transmission? I have a cable-actuated 5-speed transmission from a Japanese Mazda Bongo van and am curious if the B2200 tail housing would be the right length so that my output shaft isn't too short (or too long). The ultimate goal is to swap a shifter tail housing so that a swap into a Mazda B truck would be that much easier.

Here are some pictures of my tail housing for reference:

Anyone?

I removed the tail housing and the shifter "feet" are different than a standard B2200 transmission. Luckily it looks like you can swap them on. So as long as the tailhousing is the proper length this looks to be a pretty simple swap.

Heres a couple pics I just took for you. 1989 B2200 5 speed. Looks like the tail shaft is right at 14 inches long. Hope that helps you out.

Really appreciate that, thank you!

Looks like I'm about 2 inches too short on the main shaft...that stinks...back to the drawing board.

Thanks again!

Just get a custom one piece shaft, I couldn't see it being more than $175.

One piece shaft is a possibility.

Or a custom yoke to attach to the output shaft that is slightly longer than the one I have.
