So I have this wire plugged into a fuse...that's right a fuse.

So I decided to follow it to see were it went.

It is connected to the dimmer witch.

Currently when I tun on either the blinker (or the hazards lights) the dome light dims at the rhythm of the blinker and the ABS light (that is currently on in the dash) also dims.
I am wondering if this mysterious wire had something to do with this so I unplugged it and nothing changed .

Can anyone tell me what this is all about?

My guess is since the bulb for the dimmer is blown, someone tried bypassing the dimmer by running straight power to illuminate the cluster. The easier route would have simple replace the dimmer bulb,or switch or just use a jumper wire temporarily to make things work. The dimmer switches do go bad and cause no lights to the cluster/hvac assembly. That wire does not belong on recall. The plug to the dimmer is a two prong plug in.Tired and sure hope this helps some, and if I left something off or incorrect may others correct/add to the post.
