hi quick question i did my center support bearing and lost some gear oil in the trans just wondering what to put back in cant remember i put gear oil in before im in florida if the climate matters thanks in advance
I use 80W-90 Valvoline gear oil, and have the little pump that goes on the bottle. Adding through the gearshift is tacky, potentially messy, and results in torn rubber boots.
I run the coastal brand from auto zone 75w90 in the trans and rear end myself. Here in nc this seems fine based on our temps year round.I have tried the synthetics and did not see any real benefit and even royal purple. The rp is ok but kind of pricey and it did help in the cold temps on shifts.
