Hey all.

Just recently bought a 93 B2200 Carb regular cab 2x4 with 193,xxx on the odom

here are the issues so far.

1. Hard start when its cold. I have to push on the gas pedal a few times the turn it over and it will start but have to keep the foot on the gas or it will die. It has stock carb and from what I've been reading its a nightmare and should just get a webber conversion.

2. Exhaust leak at cat flange. I know the steps required to fix that so no biggie.

3. Drive shaft U joints- I made a previous post on here and instead of clogging up the forums just thought to do this in one post. The U joints are on order and should be here tomorrow hopefully.

4. The heater- I barely get any heat coming out its luke warm at best. at the main two vents where the controls are but the ones next to the doors blow out cold. My plan is to take it apart and see whasts up.

5. The controls for the heater/ac- no matter what i select may it be defroster or floor still barely comes out of the two main vents next to the controls. I figure when I take it apart it would be able to tell me more.

that's everything. got the truck cheap so I knew some things would be wrong with it. any tips tricks or pointing my head in the right direction would be great.

Thanks!

I will post pictures up in a few.

Hey Dan,

Thanks for the info.

It does has A/C but the previous owner removed the serpentine belt that goes to it and said he bought it like that.

The radiator and hoses do get hot to the touch.

When you start the truck cold, look in the neck of the radiator with the cap off. Is the water circulating already (with the engine running)? If so, no/or stuck open thermostat.
Have you ever had a carburated vehicle before? If the choke and linkages operated by it are not set right, it will act this way. And yes, not injected, you have to pump it 3-4 times BEFORE even spinning it over. No fuel, no start.
