Hello, I've got a few questions. I've got my new exhaust ready to be put in, but before I do it, I'm going to remove a/c compressor and everything that goes to the a/c because it doesnt work anyways and I'll only be driving with the windows down. . When I remove all of it, Is there anything I need to plug up, holes or anything?? My heater should still work right?

Also,, I've had the Weber carb on the truck for a year now, Im putting a pacesetter on it, 2in straight back into a magnaflow glasspack. lol I'm going to dump it the second I get to legal length. I want to know If I going to need to re-jet my carburetor?

Current exhaust is stock header, cut out front cat, and chopped off right after the flowmaster cat (2nd cat). nothing after that.

Ya' sure you don't want to fix your AC ? Plano might not be as hot as Arizona and Las Vegas, but hot enough, and the AC in these trucks cools pretty well.

Anyway, if you feel that removing the AC is a must, just remove the compressor, condenser in front of the radiator, and the lines that go back to the firewall, and receiver-drier if you want. But these may have some value to sell as used parts.

I definitely would NOT bother to do anything with the evaporator box under the dash, there's not anything to be gained by taking that evaporator core out, and decent chance of screwing up something.

I'd be inclined to fix it also

Your heater will still work without issues. If you remove the evap (under the dash) you'll need a large plastic duct to fill the space where the evap was. You can leave it all in place, there is really no reason to remove it. Leaving it in place will keep the system closed/sealed like Scotch eluded to.

You might want to have a "free" inspection, maybe a fix is cheaper than you think, especially if you are handy.

alright, alright! I'll leave the a/c/ lol. I'll have to check it out i guess. This is my 3rd vehicle so I really only "put the top down" on nice days anyways

I know and I appriciate it! This was intended for my son but he didn't like it and said he didnt want it, so I made it my toy, but the more I do,, the more he talks about driving it. so maybe a/c won't be a bad idea
