son my 93 b2200 is leaking bad i just did a rerring on her and a head job and a weber carb and she runs great. at first i grey rtv ed the oil pan and i saw it was leaking in the rear. so i thought it was that so i pulled the pan off and put a felpro oil pan gasket and i don't see any leaks around the pan but its dripping right at the bell housing a drip about every 10 to 15 seconds. I'm pretty sure its the rear main, but it didn't leak before bad or the guy said it didn't at least what could have caused it, more compression from the rebuild. or what i just would like a second opinion.

Compression or what you just did to it won't cause a rear oil seal. Sounds like it's time to pull that transmission and replace that and the transmission shaft seal. And do the clutch if it needs it.

Hey ZRMiller,

First you don't use a gasket on the oil pan - it will leak over time. Second, did you replace the rear cam seal when you gave her the head job? That is a source of leaking when a rebuild is done.

If it is the rear main you can install a repair sleeve. If you do that I'd look at the clutch etc because you need to pull the transmission to do the read main.
