87 2200. I got myself in a little predicament. I have pacesetter header installed now and weber carb on the way. I have new exhaust with no cat (I don't have to smog test bc of vehicle age here in WA).

But now I'm going to Germany where they do emissions test. I will definitely put a brand new cat on. But should I put on an additional pre/front cat similar to the one on the old exhaust manifold right after the header?

Will having the new carb( 32/36) be an emissions nightmare now that the reed assembly pipes are gone?

I don't know you will ever pass emissions with a weber and no O2 sensor (with ECU) regardless of how many converters you install. Mine never passed with a brand new converter, weber and pacesetter. Luckily I passed the test of time so I don't have to get it tested any longer.

There is still the port for the O2 sensor in the pacesetter

Correct but you took out the ECU and stock carb so there is noting to use/receive the signal from the O2 Sensor, right?

I'm thinking I might just need to buy a new stock exhaust manifold and take off my pacesetter. As well as install new tubes that come from the reed valves.

Depends on what the emissions tests are. I think in Europe, they are pretty strict, I have heard that some are done on a dyno even. You will need to find out, but you are probably looking at going back 100% stock and everything working, cat, carb, manifold, egr, etc...

I was looking for those 3 pipes online. The ones going from reed valve top exhaust manifold and cat, But can't seem to find them for purchase. I've looked under reed valve assembly, egr pipes, and pulse air injection system.
I have found an exhaust manifold for about $270-300

Depending where you are in WA there should be a tone of trucks to pick from in the bone yards and in Canada. Another member here OrangeMazdab2000 always seems to find the good spots to pick. He may already have the parts you need in stock!!!

That's a good idea. I still have the old exhaust manifold. I was thinking of media blasting it to remove rust then putting some VHT header paint on it. Then buying a new front cat to replace the old one
