Hey guys,
Just ordered new wheel cylinders for the rear brakes ('91 B2200)...however, what I got is very different to what I find already in place under the vehicle. What I got from the store is this:

but what I find under the truck is a single much larger cylinder next to the driver's side rear wheel which supplies a brake fluid line to BOTH wheels.
Not sure if this was a mod from a previous owner or if I just have the wrong part.
Any help is appreciated.
Cheers

Just pull the bleeder out of the driver side cylinder and screw the crossover line in where the bleeder came out. One bleeder bleeds both sides.
Fear not, this is Mazda design.

If the cylinder is the wrong size, then you want to get the right one before doing anything.

So you're saying that switching the bleeder and line will fix my problem and I don't need a new cylinder? I'm not clear on how that would solve anything...the problem is it is apparently leaking a bit (according to the roadworthy check here in QLD, Australia) but I don't even see a leak.

I was mistaken. The passenger side has the two hard lines. The driver side has the single bleeder.
Here are a couple pics of the rear that's sitting in my driveway.

If the one in your picture doesn't look like my pics, you have the wrong part. This only applies to 86-93 B-series trucks. You are working on one in that range, right?

The images you posted don't work...but yes, mine is a '91.
The rear driver side has a cylinder, but the passenger side does not have one at all. I can get a pic of it up later.

Do links work?

Thanks...but no, still doesn't work...might be because I'm in Australia?

Okay, one last try.

Yep, that's how my B2200 rear wheel cylinders are, bleeder only on driver side. I'm pretty sure my rear wheel cylinders are original at 206K, but my front calipers have been replaced by rebuilt ones.

Okay, cool. I have the right one then.
Cheers guys!
