Hi all, I have a 1999 Bravo 4 x 4 wlt 2.5 turbo diesel, the engine is very tired. I might have the opportunity of getting a 2010 BT 50 with a 3 litre turbo diesel cheaply ( it has a lot of cosmetic damage). Does anyone know if the engine mounts would be the same, I have heard that all you would have to do is shorten the tailshaft besides swapping over the ecm .I like the old extracab I have and use it for work, and an increase in engine size would be handy. Any help appreciated.

That'd be sweet!
I doubt the mounts/much would be the same though.
Where did you hear your tailshaft etc info?
I'd suggest getting some measurements of the engine and transmission and seeing if it will actually fit.
The pumps will be all different as well, not sure if the bt50 as a lift pump then HP pump or just a hp pump in tank.
I'd say the 2.5 has no pump in tank and just the mechanical pump on the engine.
Actually, it'll be the same as my 2005 ford courier engine

where in the world are you?

If you're a good fabricator, do it anyway! it'd be great!
Don't forget a "how to" along the way
