only ones u need are vacume advance, fuel line obviously and evap canister if used. if your running that rich u might need different size jets. ur idle mixture screws should only be between 1 and 2 full turns out. if it runs better 3 turns out or under one turn out, thats a good indication of needing different jets. but make sure your timing is set dead on and i mean dead on. or u wont get accurate results. based on my truck. to tune it good, tighten the idle mix screws in till they stop but dont force them. just till theres a little tension. back out one full turn, start truck, unscrew each at about 1/4 to 1/2 a turn at a time untill the rpms quit rising or it runs worse, then back to where it ran best. (this procedure is based on the assumption that the jets are the proper size and carb is installed with no leaks ect.) also look on the bottom of the intake mani for unplugged vacume nipples. im still finding them since i did the weber. if none of these work, may need different size jets. most of the time they come with the proper ones but sum have had issues

Make sure the PCV and vacuum line from the distributor are hooked up. You'll need manifold vacuum for power brakes if you have it. Did you buy the carb new or is it used? If used, clean it out good to make sure you don't have something clogging it up or letting excessive fuel by the float needle.

Any vacuum leaks may cause it to run rich, so double check your gaskets. Take it out for a drive, bring it back home and shut it right off - pull a spark plug and see how it looks. Without cats it's gonna smell richer than if you have cats.

Plug any open lines from the intake manifold that are not used. Also make sure to do a search here, there are so many posts about the Weber carbs. You've got it running, now ya just have to tune it! I'm doing my Weber swap soon too, my factory carb is running SO rich.
