I got two new sets of leaf springs from a b2200 at a junkyard. I stacked them up, now I can't get the spring plate that's connected to the shock absorbers underneath the new springs. I only added an inch or two.. Do I need to put some weight on the springs to get it to fit and jack up the axle, or do I need longer shock absorbers? I don't have much of a clue of what I'm doing and I don't have anyone to help me, I'm so goddam frustrated, please help before tomorrow and I'm stuck on this again <img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" title="Sad" /><!-- s:( -->

Here's a video of my situation:

yes, you will probably need longer shocks. remove the shock from the plate and install the plate. Then jack up the rearend and put the shocks back on. Remember to always use jack stands to support the vehicle.
