When I did my Ranger headlights, I used a Dremel tool with the small cut off discs on a fairly low speed. Worked pretty good...but it did take awhile.

i was thankin that myself but mine dosnt adjust the speed and was worried it chip or flake the chrome off was also thankin about heating a razor blade and scoring it little by little but im not sure...im not worried about time lol it look good abd be worth it lol

I would tape the grill up really well making sure the tape lays smooth and cut with the dremel threw the tape. Should help to make sure the chrome doesn't strip off. Do the same thing if your drilling holes in something painted and it helps not ruin the paint... It's not 100% perfect but definitely better than nothing. I would try to find a scrap piece and try it first to see how it works
