Their name is a misnomer... it hurts the wallet, that's for sure!

Just looked quickly and its $430 for the 21 circuit truck harness (non gm keyed). You could get it done in a weekend and have 0 electrical problems. Or .......

You could spend countless hours trying to diagnose and trace the problem thinking you have it fixed only to break down and have to tow your truck back home ..... and still have a 25yr old wiring harness with half your lights and accessories not working.

If you decide to go this route make sure you add all the additional electrical for your air ride and stereo into the harness before you do the install. It will make for a very clean and neat finished product.

Im sure i will eventually go this route. But im prepping for wrist surgery so im not going to be working for a month or so depending on the outcome.

So im trying to get it running again to hit one more show before im laid up and i dont feel like spending that kind of money right now.

Much less then the painless and works just the same. Your truck is carb'd so for $100 its a really easy fix.

Battery not charging. 2nd battery in a month. New gm alternator. New power wires. New grounds. Been through all wiring. Gonna try another battery tomorrow and see what that does.

Is there a drain in the wiring somewhere? I had a similar issue with my old SuperCoupe. If I didn't drive it for a few weeks, it would drain and kill the battery, and the battery wouldn't take a charge, and would have to be replaced (luckily under warranty).
