It's been awhile since I've been on this site. I've since scrapped my Frankenmazda and inherited my grandfather's (that was passed on to my father) 93 Mazda king-cab B2200 currently 146,000 miles. Love these little trucks. I've had a few over the years.
So. It's fuel injected. I'm having high idle / rpm issues at stops when warm. Once clutch is disengaged the idle drops meaning I can slightly feather / engage clutch and the idle drops to normal but as soon as I put it back in neutral rpm shoots back up.
Where should I start? I read here on another thread a 97 was having similar issues and he replaced the IAC. I just checked rockauto and it's a 400$ part. I also remember reading way back when a sensor in the transmission could possibly need replacing? I'm sorry if this subject has been discussed and I failed to find it in a search. This is my first time using the mobile version.
This high idle at stops is super annoying along with unneeded stress on the engine and wasting fuel. Thank you.
