Several years ago, I went through the process of getting titles in VA via mechanic's lien. It was a piece of cake!

Whereabouts in VA are you?

the title is on lein from loan max or something and the one i had in works fell through. is their anyone out there that can help me. IN ANYWAY

Contact your local dmv and see who has the lein. You will probably have to pay off the amount owed to get it from them. You will also have to pay back taxes from any years the previous owner didn't register the vehicle. I had a bad experience in the past I'll never buy a vehicle with out the title again. People's word isn't worth anything.

last time this happened we only had to pay back the amount that was loaned out and that was it. yeah it sucks but hell the truck only has 150k and is in mint condition. but overall it is a lot of hassle.

I recently went through this. It's easy.

Find the web site of the loan company (mine was Chrysler Credit) and give them the VIN number of the truck.

For $16 they sent me a notarized letter stating that they no longer have any interest in the truck. That's all the DMV needed and they gave me a clear title.
