new guy needs some help with engine swap in 88 d50 4x4 5sp

hello, need some help my 2.6 4banger is toast! but the rest of truck is like new almost!. anyway i want to put a 1989 3.0 mitsubishi montero engine in and iam wondering if any one out there has already done so?. everything looks like it will swap out ok?, I have the complete montero and its a 5 speed also, my big questions have to do with the computer and wiring systems putting it in the 1988 d50 5speed 4x4 truck, I sure need some input!!! your help sure would be appreciated.... questions like will any of electrical work in the d50 compatible with the computer out of the montero? also will the rest of it bolt up? what are the major hardships and how to overcome them! thanks jake........

Engine and chassis harness Re basically two separate systems, they dont really need each other to function properly, so pull the harness out for your.engine and put the new one and ecu in for thee 3.0 then get it all wired up.
