I have a 1980 Plymouth arrow sport, I let the truck sit for about 5 years due to not being able to get any spark. I dont really want to scrap it as it 100% original,5 speed, tach, AM-FM radio, original spoke style wheels....... does need a hood and fender from when I hit a deer. It was running fine then suddenly just quit, and no spark. Any sugestions? THANKS-

Cap and rotor all rusted up? Where are you located at?

Coil, rotor, cap, wires/plugs. Since it suddenly stopped I would say coil or cap/rotor but would def try the cheaper items first

is there no spark to all your cylinders or just one or two? if its only one or so then chances you have a bad wire. if all your cylinders are dead then start with your cap, pull it off and inspect it for cracks or corrosion, if it looks fine do the same for your rotor. if they both look good then its time to test your coil. its not difficult to test it if your familiar with a multi meter. you can either test the resistance in ohms between either side terminal and the center high tension terminal, You should see 0.75 to 0.81 ohm of resistance. or you can use the volt meter and check the volt output with power to it. if your coils good then chances are you could have bad points (if your truck has points) or you have a bad ignition switch and your not getting power to the coil...... just start from one point and work your way back eliminating stuff along the way. hope this is helpful
