Hello, greetings and best wishes.
I have 2 RAM 50s
A 1988 2wd 2.0 5spd that I purchased new in 1988 and have put 440,000 miles on it. She's tired, but she's still my 'daily driver'. She is almost 100% original, the only modification being that I replaced the radiator with one intended for a 2.6 for better cooling and also installed an electric fan. I have the Weber carb replacement, but its not installed yet. Her age and difficulty in servicing the less desireable 2.0 engine means that she'll be retiring some day soon.
And, I recently acquired a 1988 4x4 PowerRam 50 Sport, 2.6 5 spd stretch cab that I am hoping to fix up and make into my new daily driver and long haul service rig. It's already got the Weber carb swap, and some aftermarket wide tires and rims, but is otherwise stock with every luxury accessory that Chrysler or Mitsubishi thought to offer, including the roll bar with lights.
I'm hoping to learn some tech tips for rebuilding and improving the drive train and suspension on the 4x4 and if any of my experience keeping the 2wd on the road for nearly a half million miles can help anyone out, just ask me!
