I am a new owner to a very clean 88 dodge d50 and I love it so far there are just a few concerns I have
1. The carb seems to be dysfunctional for reasons I do not kniw, I have tried everything there is to clean it but still when I get on it more than half throttle it falls flat on its face then slowly starts to catch up with its self. Are there any other carb options available holly weber? Or is it a common problem that is fixable?
2. There is a valve that is connected to the exhaust manifold by a small pipe and leads to To intake, the small pipe is cracked not sure if its an egr or what but is it necessary to fix the crack? Many more questions but ill leave you with those two for now, any help would be much appriciated thank you,
Ian

For the carb issue, change the fuel filter? Or, a float may have sunk. The Mikuni (stock carb) is reliable until it isn't. I haven't messed with Weber replacements.

The metal tube is part of the secondary air supply to the exhaust manifold, and cracking is common after so many years. Replacement parts are available new or used.
