Hey there,
I have owned my Mighty Max since 1998. The truck started off with a body lift and 30 inch tall tires. It is a 1994, 2.4, two wheel drive truck and I had a ton of fun with this truck in this configuration. Now it is time for a change. I have always been a fan of slammed trucks and at the end of winter I will begin the transformation to a lowered truck. Like the vast majority of people my budget is limited. I have joined this site in order to contribute the story of my build, soak up info, and to gather parts. There are a lot of trucks here that inspire me and I look forward to being a part of this community.

Be prepared to not be real happy with lowered truck. If you shorten front springs, the front will bang hard on speed bumps and what not. Sounds nastier in the truck, but doesn't do the damage that the sound produces, lol. Handling is fun though, get some great shocks for front for sure. You will need to cut the rubber frame stoppers a bit and reinforce the exhaust pipe where it transitions from the engine compartment headed towards the rear of truck. This could get nasty if it hit hard enough. The crossmember frame under the front there also takes a beating and all this stuff will definitely change your driving habits one way or another. If you slam it to far...you will be unhappy with no shock travel and smacking everything that sticks up 2 inches from road service. Try a little, then go from there. You don''t have to lay it on the ground to look good, actually these trucks look kind of dorky flat bottomed on the road and bouncing around. Go about 1/2 way in my opinion and check your suspension parts before you do the work. It is very stressful on the vehicle if not done correctly and if you tow anything with it lowered, buy extra Idler arms cause it seams to like to through the bushings out of them.
