is there a way to put a power steering in a mighty max that never had it? I have the worst time steering I was hoping just maybe there was a way add it on but idk.

I'm not sure about these trucks, but on most vehicles it requires a fair amount of work.

You will need a power steering rack, powersteering pump, reservior, high pressure and low pressure lines. You might even need to swap out the steering shaft linkage. Best way to do it is if you can find a donor truck and then just swap everything over.

my 87 ram 50 std cab short bed has manual steering and it doesn't bother me much at all. i plan to hop up the truck big time but will keep it manual steering for simplicity sake. let the truck roll a bit as you turn the wheel and it will be soo much easier (good practice anyway to cut down wear on the steering system and tires).

When these trucks wer on the lot new they din have bumpers air not even power steering you had to add all that to them if you wanted that my 1990mm dont have it ether and i put the radio in it to it just how misibishi motors sold them

I Believe you can add the power steering to it.

Yes, it can be done. I did it to my 91 model. You will need the 2 pulleys off the engine, the v belt, the high pressure and return lines. You will also need the p/s pump and bracket, reservior and the steering box. I got the whole setup off of the same truck at a local pullapart salvage yard.

thanks everyone for the help on the subject, I might take a look around at some local salvage yards soon, to so if i can't find the parts. if not i'll just have to suck it up and learn to navigate the manual steering better.
