I have an old 1995 Mitsubishi L200 which I used through out my college days.

Anyway, I have began to restore the old pick-up. I had it painted back to its original color, had the suspension system fixed/replaced. It has only 150 thousand Kms (around 100k miles) on it, the engine runs very well.

I'd like to keep everything stock, but I am thinking of replacing the wheels. This comes with 14" alloy rims on 195R14C tires. (honestly, I cannot remember what the size came with the vehicle when I got it)

I am thinking about going with 16" or 17" rims. I do not plan to modify the suspension system, just the wheels.

What size of tires/rims will work?

I'd say you have a ton of options, because the bolt pattern (on first gen trucks at least) is the same as a full-size Chevy. Before I put 18s on my truck, I went out and picked up some five spoke 16" steel rims for a GM truck. I got them at Walmart and they were super cheap! The center holes needed to be machined a bit, but that only cost me a couple bucks a wheel, so all-in-all it was a very cheap way to go! In my case I used a 205/45 Fuzion ZRi tire... But like I said, I'm sure you have a lot of options, this was just one that served me well. Good luck!

For 17's I usually run a 215/45 or 40 and that's on a 7.5" wide rim.

Hi everyone,

I originally planned to go with 17s as suggested, but when I went to the shop to buy some rims, I saw a set of Ralliarts and fell in love with it. Unfortunately, these were only available in 16", and was the last set.

I decided to get it along with some Yokohama 215/60R16 tires.

Here are some pics.
