1988 Mighty Max problem

My car feels like it has absolutely no power, going up hills is a struggle and it sucks up gas what could be wrong?

I had a similar problem not to long ago,, found out that the secondary was not opening, take off the air cleaner and rev it up manualy , you should be able to see both butterflies open, start there

How would we go about solving the issue of the secondary not opening? Im havin the same trouble with my 2.6 and its ridiculously annoying

i havent dealt with issues of that kind for a while but can tell you vacuum has alot to do with,, make sure your egr is working properly and check all you vac lines

Could it be my catalytic converter?

Have you had a compression check lately?

It could certainly be a plugged cat. What condition is your clutch in? When mine went, loss of power going uphill was the first thing I noticed.
