Clutch replacement - Big Deal?

How much of a hassle is replacing a clutch on a 94 MM w/ a 2.4 on jack stands? I know wrestling the tranny is the big hassle but, from those who have done it, is it that bad? I keep getting advice just to take it in to a mechanic with a hoist.

Its not that bad, biggest pain is getting the tranny back in and lined up, other wise its not too bad. I have done it atleast ten times on these trucks lol

Dont bring to machanic, waste of money. I agree lining the splines up is the hardest part. I just put one in mine a week ago... by myself so it was a bitch. But if you gotta buddy to help its gravy

A floor jack can be handy when you reinstall the tranny.
