found a used weber 32/36 dgev carb, it is currently on a 6 cylinder jeep. my question is, can i use it on my 2.6l ram 50, what is the difference between a dfev and a dgev?

The 32/36 DG and DF types have opposite primary/secondary throttle locations. When mounted on the intake manifold and viewed from front, DG types have primary on left while DFs have primary on right.
or so I've been told. Of course the "E" in the DFEV and DGEV means electronic /electric choke

okay awesome, thanks. so does it even matter or would i prefer the DG over the DF for my 2.6l

No, it doesn't matter. Although I think Dfev will work a little easier as primary and throttle cable are the same side as oem
