mass air sensor

I have a 1990 Mitsubishi mighty max with a fuel injected 2.4 engine, and I want to change my large stock air filter to a K&N. but what do I do with the over sized mass air sensor? I want to change it to a smaller maf sensor. what do I use and how do I wire it in?
