maint reqd light???

I just bought a 91 mighty max, 2.4 5 speed with about 225k miles, runs perfect. The "MAINT REQD" (maintenance required) light on the dash is lit up and I cant figure out how to make it go away. I just serviced it with all the basics so what do I do now??? Thanks

on the bottom of your guage cluster housing on the right side there a plastic cover its where the hazard switch is but on the right side. you pop that off and look in side there youll see a tiny black switch its actually part of the guage cluster itself. just flick that switch the opposite way it is now and the light will be gone. you might need a screw driver to reach the switch.

no problem when i first got my truck it was on too dude that sold it to me thought something major was wrong with it and that was the first question i had to ask on a d50 forum.
