Riddle me this????

What's up fellas it's me again. Well I thinkbi got my timing right but my truck is not the same. I don't know what I did but I went by all the spec in my good ol haynes manual. It just seems to run a little rough and eat my hard earned money in gas.debating on gettin rid of the the damned ol truck but I love it so much. It's like my truck is so rough now. I did the timing right I think but In my book it's stating something about a timing adjusting connector and it states to run a jumper wire bla bla bla but I have no clue where it's located. It says it has a waterproof connector.I did not due that part. But ????? I don't no. And way if you feel you might can solve this ask me some questions and I'll answer them and maybe we can get to the bottom of this. I would appreciate it before I throw it on craigslist Thanks

you have to do the jumper like the book says, thats why your running rough... on my wifes 91 2.4 liter the plug is located in the engine compartment passanger side near the hinge of the hood area. it is a cylinder shape and only one side with a wire, looks capped, what year is your truck? if i need to take a pic i will tomorrow after work.let me know.
