i was wondering if there are some things i could do to get a little more power out of my 90 mm.
ive got a spectra cold air intake, less restriction as far as exhaust goes ( glass pack lol ).
im wanting to take off the mechanical fan and put an electric fan on it. so what else is simple but cheap that i could do.

p.s. any help would be greatly appreciated

i know not too many poeple try and make mini trucks fast with out doing something durastic like a motor swap. but since it is a small 4 banger theres not much to do that will make a big difference for cheap. maybe try some wieght reduction.

Someone has said an Eclipse throttle body will fit the 2.4. If you have a 2.4, a 2.0 dohc head swap with a good bottom end would do wonders but not cheap. I do know oil catch cans relieve intake/head pressure and give some power. I have the same truck and assuming engine so were on the same page as far as needing power. The electric fan swap should help a good bit, I'm planning on doing that right after I get a new radiator. Good luck with all the mods that may be found.

I dont think the eclipse TB will fit, may bolt up, but some or alot of creative part building and manipulating may be required. Oil catch cans dont give power, thats silly. Just keep a small amount of oil build up from getting in the intake. Electric fan can free some power, but not give you power. If you want noticeable power, find a way to build a cheap 4-6psi turbo set up. Or completly rebuild and change your internals. It was not ment to be a high performance engine.
