electric fan

wanting to buy a new electric fan to clean up the engine compartment some. Anyone know the required CFM for these motors?

from what ive seen alot of people use ford taurus fans...maybe somebody will chime in and give you a year model to go by.

the fans off of a merc sable or ford taurus 1994-2003 flow more air than any aftermarket electric fan out there, just be sure to get the thermostat with it its a square box located in the top corner of the shroud assembly. hook 12 volts into that so the fan will run intermittently instead of all the time. they are plentiful in bone yards should cost you bout $25-50 depending on condition.ebay is another good source for these fans cheap, good luck
